Dedicated to helping men who are recovering from addictions, the Freedom Foundation of Nova Scotia provides services to foster recovery, while developing a positive self-image and self-worth in a secure and caring environment.
Since opening in 1988, the not-for-profit organization has housed almost 1,200 individuals and helped them learn basic living skills, attend outside recovery-enhancing programs, and attend 12-step self-help meetings.
We have been pleased to donate over $350,000 to this much-needed charity. As featured in an article by the CBC, the funds have gone toward a building fund to help expand their original recovery centre, which operates across the street.
